Use of MOBIbike

Connecting your account

Create an account in the nextbike app or on the website. When registering, don't enter anything else apart from your e-mail address and telephone number and click on "zahlungspflichtig bestellen" (don't worry, there are no costs involved!).

You can then link the semester ticket to the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden - University of Applied Sciences under "Mein Account > Partner". You will be asked to enter your university login. As soon as you have done this, you should see a tick next to "Semesterticket HTW Dresden" on the overview page.

If you already have a nextbike account, you may have already been asked to update the link by e-mail. Simply click on the link in the email and proceed as described above. If you have not received the e-mail, you can of course also link it after logging into your account.

Conditions

Rückgabemöglichkeiten

The first 30 minutes per rental are free of charge. You pay 1 € for every additional half hour up to a maximum of 15 € per day.

You can also rent up to four bikes via one account. In this case, however, the tariff only applies to the first bike rented, the rest is based on the basic tariff. Bikes can be reserved remotely up to 10 minutes before the start of the ride.

You can return the bikes free of charge at streets and virtual stations marked blue on the map. Each time you return the bike to a MOBIpoint, you collect 10 free minutes. These free minutes can be accumulated. If you're smart about it, you can use the service completely free of charge ;)
By the way, there is also a MOBIpoint and virtual stations at the Pillnitz campus!

If you return the bike within the flex zone marked in pink, you pay a fee of 1 €. If you return a bike outside the return area, you will have to pay a fee of 20 €.

As with the semester ticket, it is also possible for us to grant a pro rata (monthly) exemption or refund. This will of course be included automatically when you submit a semester ticket application to us.

And you can also use nextbike in almost all other cities in Germany under the same conditions! The only exceptions are Bremen, Nuremberg, Usedom, Kiel and Munich.

Reimbursement

Special cancellation rights for existing time ticket contracts

  • Monthly and annual tickets for VVO fare zones can be cancelled from 1 September to 10 October in accordance with a special right of cancellation with the respective transport company. Annual tickets will be refunded pro rata.

Exemption and reimbursement

  • An exemption or a (partial) reimbursement of the semester ticket is possible upon application to the StuRa with proof of a stay outside of Germany. The proof can be for an internship, a thesis or a study period abroad.
  • For a leave of absence semester or exmatriculation in the current semester, a (pro rata) refund of the semester ticket is possible via the StuRa.
  • You can find more information about an exemption or refund in the information on the semester ticket application.
